Kristen PhD, CPDT-KA
Kristen is a Boston area dog trainer that specializes in puppy training, reactivity, basic obedience, scent work and agility. Prior to dog training, Kristen was a cancer biologist and has her PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Genetics. After finishing her post-doc at MIT, she decided to focus more deeply on her passion for positive-based behavior modification. By specializing in the science of behavior change, she is able to make and see measurable changes in behavior and the absolute best part is, she is able to help people and their dogs! Kristen has been surrounded by animals her entire life and her passion for training has always been evident in her animals. The thing she loves most is the bond she is able to build with her animals through training.
Kristen had lots of pets growing up that included parrots, frogs, turtles, rabbits, fish and dogs. Currently, Kristen has two dogs, Dazzle a 7 year old little brown dog and Prosecco, a 60 lb Kelpie/Boxer mix. Both love to play agility and scent work and continuously challenge her everyday to become a better trainer and find more creative and effective solutions to common dog problems using positive-based training methods.
